CIPD’s Intermediate level qualifications will give you a broad perspective of the organisational issues facing HR professionals and will enable you to develop effective analytical and problem solving skills.

Can also be studied as part of an HR Apprenticeship.

Who is this programme aimed at?

How are the Intermediate programmes assessed?

The Intermediate qualifications will be assessed by a mix of methods including assignments, presentations, case studies and CPD plan & record. The assessment approaches used will complement your chosen units and documented on your Individual Learning Plan.

Method of Learning/Duration

The Intermediate qualifications will take between 12-16 months to complete. The main methods of learning will be a mix between self study from CIPD approved supported distance learning materials, group workshop sessions and individual tutorials. Additional tutor support will also be available via phone and email.

Intermediate qualifications are suitable for those who:

Core Units

Optional Units

CIPD Intermediate Award in HRM and Certificate in HRM

Alternatively, you can study an Intermediate Award in HRM (any 1 to 3 units) or the Intermediate Certificate in HRM (3 Core and 3 Optional units, 34 credits)

Intermediate Diploma Programme Content (44 credits, RQF)

The Intermediate Diploma in HRM comprises of 4 core units and 4 optional units (between 4 & 6 credits each)
